ALI 是一个多级别的强化英语语言课程，可以帮助学生提高英语水平，从而在学术和专业两个领域都取得更大的成功。ALI 的学生将会学习文化技能、语法、发音、阅读和写作、口语和听力、词汇和策略，为托福考试做准备。此外，ALI 通过对话伙伴计划、校外参观学习和文化活动，为学生提供了在校内和校外与美国人进行互动的机会。在申请加兹登州立社区学院时，学完最高级别 ALI 课程并取得 A 或 B 成绩的学生可获得托福豁免。ALI 老师均有硕士学位或更高学历，并且拥有在国外生活和教学的丰富经验。

课程描述：

阿拉巴马语言学院提供以下课程，这些课程被视为大学预科课程。学生每门课程可获得 3 个学分。当学生到达时，学校将进行英文程度的评估，将他们安排在适合他们水平的课程中。 ALI 提供的每门课程都是3 个学分。 F-1 签证学生每学期必须注册 15 个学分（5 门课程）并完成规定小时数的电脑室自习。 

The Alabama Language Institute curriculum includes the following courses, which are considered pre-college courses. Students receive 3 credit hours for each course.  When students arrive, they will take a placement assessment that places them in the appropriate courses for their levels. All courses offered in ALI bears 3 credit hours. An F-1 Visa student must enroll in 15 credit hours (5 courses) and complete the Directed Lab. All courses offered in ALI bears 3 credit hours.

*所有 F-1 签证学生都必须按照导师的指示，每周完成 3 小时的电脑/语音室自习课。

*All F-1 Visa students are required to complete 3 hours of independent Directed Lab per week as directed by their instructors.

阿拉巴马州语言学院秋季班和春季班各为16 周每学期。在夏季班为10 周每学期，每学期时长与加兹登州立社区学院相同。

The  Alabama Language Institute offers 16-week terms in the fall and the spring and a 10-week term in the summer following the same schedule as Gadsden State Community College.
