Founded in 1889, Weber State University prides itself on excellent teaching, providing access to educational opportunity, and its active role within the community. Weber State University offers over 225 programs, including 100 majors and 16 graduate programs.

Our students are always posting photos with the caption, “My campus is prettier than yours,” and for good reason. Weber’s mountainside setting in Ogden, Utah, has so much to offer. Whether you’re seeking solitude or craving a challenge, you’ll find four seasons of recreation on the mountains, trails, rivers and reservoirs that surround this active, outdoorsy city.

Weber State University is located in Ogden, Utah, just north of Salt Lake City. Ogden has four seasons with snow in the winter and sun in the summer. High temperatures can reach 38 degrees Celsius in the summer and low temperatures can reach -12 degrees Celsius. The 2002 winter Olympics were held in Utah and world class skiing is 15 minutes away. Utah is known for its mountain biking, hiking, and other outdoor activities. Over 60 national and state parks are located just hours away from Ogden.
