University of Michigan – Flint is one of the three campuses of the world-renowned University of Michigan system, and students graduating from any of the three campuses (Ann Arbor, Dearborn, and Flint) all join the same alumni association that is one of the largest living alumni networks in the world.

UM-Flint accepts GaoKao score for scholarship purposes!

Using our Merit Scholarship matrix based on GPA and SAT scores, we will apply the same percentile information to the GaoKao scores in each province.  GaoKao students are eligible to receive a Merit Scholarship ranging from $2,000 to $12,000 per year depending on their GPA and GaoKao score.

(In addition to many English proficiency tests (including TOEFL and IELTS) that we accept for admission, we are also accepting Duolingo English Test.  It is readily available for $49, you can take it from home, and the certified result is available within 48 hours).

Small Classes, Personal Attention, and Experiential Learning

- With a 1:13 professor to student ratio, UM-Flint offers small classes entirely taught by dedicated professors with lots of personal attention to our students.  There is a great emphasis on hands-on learning, and a plenty of opportunities for internships for real-world experience (internships in many departments like Business, Engineering, and Computer Science are paid internships).  We make transition from theory to application easy.

Transfer Program with University of Michigan, Ann Arbor

- Take advantage of UM-Flint's unique 2+2 Preferred Engineering Transfer Program with the College of Engineering in Ann Arbor in which a student spends the first two years in the Flint campus and last two years in the Ann Arbor campus and have a chance to graduate from one of the top 5 engineering (computer science included) programs in the country
